— Our Story

Built by two
sisters, for the
people we'd
help anyway.

Concierge Bar is a family business in Lisbon — born from the help we wished we’d had when we first moved to Portugal, shaped by the people we’ve helped since.

— HOW IT STARTED —

A kitchen table,
two sisters,
one good idea.

Concierge Bar started where most good things do — at a kitchen table, between two sisters, half-laughing about how hard it had been to get anything done.

When we moved to Portugal, we fell in love with the country and the people. The light, the food, the slower pace, the warmth — everything we hoped it would be. But settling in? That was a different story.

Finding a trustworthy plumber meant calling six people back. Sourcing the right florist for a friend’s birthday took an entire afternoon. Sending a gift across borders meant logistics we hadn’t anticipated. And every conversation came with a small translation tax that made even simple things feel heavy.

We kept saying the same thing to each other: someone should just do this for people. So we did.

— WHAT WE BELIEVE —

We treat every request like it's a loved one on the receiving end.

— Why people choose us

The service we
wished existed.

— 01

Premium without the distance

Most premium service in Portugal feels formal and a little cold. We wanted to build something equally capable but warmer — the kind of help you’d give a friend, just polished.

— 02

Local with no language wall

Portugal is full of brilliant artisans, makers, and service people. The barrier is rarely talent — it’s the language and the systems. We bridge that gap so the good stuff is actually accessible.

— 03

Real care, every single time

Whether the request is a €100 errand or a €5,000 gift, the care is the same. We treat every brief like it matters because it does — and because that’s the kind of service that makes a place feel like home.

— Who we are

The two
behind the bar.

We’re two sisters who grew up moving between countries. We know what it feels like to land somewhere new, exciting and a little overwhelming, and to wish someone would just show you how things work here.

We speak English and have Portuguese speaking partners. We’re meticulous about the details, fast with research, and patient enough to get something exactly right rather than nearly right.

Between us, we’ve spent years sourcing, organising, troubleshooting, and finding the right person for the right thing. It turns out that what we do for fun for our friends and family is genuinely valuable when offered to people building lives in a new country.

And we genuinely love it. There’s something quietly satisfying about handing someone the perfect thing, or watching their week open up because the small chaos finally got handled.

— What we believe

The principles
we work by.

— 01

Every request is personal

There’s a real person on the other end of every brief — and often a second person on the receiving end. We treat both with the attention we’d want for ourselves.

— 02

Honesty on what can be delivered

If we can’t do something, we say so. If we think there’s a better option than what was asked for, we suggest it. If we made a mistake, we own it. Real trust is built on this, not on never being wrong.

— 03

Sourcing is a craft

Finding the right thing isn’t luck — it’s knowing where to look, who to ask, and what questions to ask them. We treat sourcing as a skill worth practising every single day.

— 04

Warmth scales

You don’t have to choose between premium and human. We’ve seen too many businesses lose the warmth as they grew, and we’re committed to keeping ours, no matter what.

— 05

Discretion is the default

What you tell us stays with us. Surprises stay surprises. Sensitive details stay sensitive. We’re a small team and a tight one, by design.

— WHERE WE ARE NOW —

A small business,
built carefully.

We’re still a family business, and we plan to stay that way. We’ve helped clients send gifts across Europe, settle into Lisbon, find the right pieces for new homes, and quietly make their weeks easier.

The people we work with feel less like clients and more like a community we’ve slowly built — and that’s exactly how we wanted it.

If any of this resonates, we’d love to hear from you.

— with love, the sisters behind CB
